This class will make you better than 95% of those that respond to 911. By the end of the day, you should be able to draw your gun and fire two center mass shots (accurately) in less than 2 seconds... and lunch is included with this class. The legislative purpose for this 3 day course is to teach individuals how to protect & defend a church, school or business against today's threats. The target audience are those who carry handguns protecting their church, school or office. This is not a license to carry course... It's about a day of classroom and the rest of the time on the range. The course is taught with a moderate amount of defensive handgun training over 3 days and one night. This can also be the Guardian plan, which is a Texas certified school safety program of which we are one of 400 instructors in the state to license teachers to carry in the classroom. Nomads training style creates a unique experience and skill-set that can’t be found through the US Military, NRA, TxDPS, TCOLE or TCLEOSE alone. The training we offer is blended from the best of each of these as well as Israeli and Scotland Yard techniques also Front Sight Firearms training facility outside Las Vegas, NV. 5. Night Shooting Roughly 1/3 of every 24 hours is dark... Have you trained for it? Sure, you can practice around the house with your gun and flashlight, but have you ever done it with live ammo? We offer a 2 hour class in our Live Fire Shoot House showing you a few different techniques that you can try and see what works for you. Class starts about a hour before sundown for pre-instruction and then we'll go live when darkness settles in. You'll need a hand held flashlight with a end mounted on/off switch or a rail mounted gun light. You must have electronic hearing protection, clear safety glasses and a ball cap for this class (rentals available). This class is limited to 4 people max, so a reservation and deposit are required. I wanted to give a shout out to Nomads. Yesterday I brought a preteen and two teenage young ladies along with an active duty medical worker from Ft. Hood seriously considering getting her LTC. Dennis was so gracious and allowed her to shoot free of charge. The ranges are safe, clean, and most importantly female friendly. That may sound like a small thing but I have been on ranges where females as well as teen shooters were not particularly welcome. I firmly believe teens and particularly future mothers are the key to the future of our sport, our 2A rights, and the preservation of our heritage and values. We have to make sure they are welcome and introduced to the shooting community with open arms. Dennis took the time to inquire if the girls were enjoying themselves and I believe he was as pleased as I was that the ladies were having a great time learning and enjoying one of the best things about our American Heritage. I found this range on Google maps while visiting family in the Tyler area. I was looking to shoot at steel targets and after searching around for quite some time for ranges and closely examining reviews and pictures of various facilities in the area on Google and other sites, I settled on Nomads. I couldn't be happier I did. First, Michael and Dennis are two of the most welcoming and accommodating people I've ever met. Michael is always eager to help and generally converse with guests. They are also happy to simply show you where to go and leave you be to shoot. I absolutely LOVED the hands-off approach here, but make no mistake, Michael and/or Dennis will be right there to help you if you need advice or have any questions about the range usage. The facility is awesome and in a great location not to mention the well-maintained, clean, and pretty surroundings. Ignore the stupid sign to the right on the fence as you enter. Neighbor doesn't like the gun range bordering his property, so he put up a big sign disparaging anyone who decides to patronize this business. Be assured Michael and Dennis have done everything to accommodate his demands and he still chose to put up that sign. They have several tactical bays with barriers, a nice little 25 yard pistol/rifle range, great long range, and a "steel pit" that's fun as hell! The "steel pit" and 25 yard ranges are right next to one another and are lit, so you can absolutely shoot past sunset. They also have a great variety of high quality pistols for rent. I highly recommend checking out the rental selection. The main check-in area in the large steel building is quite small, but is very clean and well kept. So is the bathroom. They also have cold beverages for purchase. The side of the building right near the 25 yard range and "steel pit" has a huge covered area for shade and nice picnic tables to sit at and take a break or cool off in the summer. The "steel pit" has cover as well. I had a killer time shooting and some wonderful conversation with Michael. As stated previously, you are left, for the most part, to your own devices while shooting here, so if you and/or your party can't handle basic gun safety, social interaction with others (for cease fires when changing targets), or lack maturity, I wouldn't even bother coming here, because you'll just ruin it for the rest of us who can handle ourselves and our weapons without an RO breathing down our necks. In summary, pay these guys a visit, you won't be disappointed. I will be back for sure!

This is a gem of a range in east Texas. I am a LTC instructor living in Fort Worth and have some good friends in the Tyler area that wanted me to put on a class there at a mutual friends house this past New Years weekend. Was the best range that I've been to in my life and they have plans to make it better. Probably one of the best range experiences I've had. The owner was helpful but not pushy. My family and I were able to take our time and didn't feel rushed. We'll definitely be back.

Took my son there today and we had a great time. Dennis was extremely friendly and professional and spent time with us giving us pointers. The pricing was very fair and Dennis made sure safety was a top priority. This is a great place to bring a group as it has plenty of room. We will be coming back here as often as we can.

Very nice shooting range. This is my no.1 field to go practice. I was nervous because it was my first time but the owner give me a good informative advice and the result is terrific.

Me and a buddy went and toured the range today. This place is awesome ! We were met by a great host who showed us around and explained what the range had to offer. We left stress free after firing off a few rounds. We will be back and bring some more friends.

Great place where you are educated and trained, my child learned the power of a firearm and understands how to be safe, she was even taught how to clean the gun she shot! The safety here is incredible and I don’t feel uneasy like I have at other ranges. We visit quite often and will continue.
